I thought I’d pop in and say hi and share some cards from the new catalogue that we did at our launch last weekend. I am procrastinating today as I was meant to work but have two sick kids at home so plan to try and remove some of the builders dust that is covering just about every surface in the house at the moment. But that is really not appealing if you know what I mean! LOL! If your lucky I may even get some photo’s of the progress! We have had builders for 4 days this week…unheard of I tell you!

We all had a brilliant day on Saturday for the launch with 60 lovely ladies coming to share the day with us.

I haven’t taken photo’s of Linda, Louise or Bec’s cards yet but I will cause they are fab but  here are the cards I did for the launch on Saturday.

I find it hard these days to make cards without DSP, I have just got so used to using it and Stampin’  Up!’s  just coordinates so well. Instead  I used the dotted embossing folder inked up in Old Olive ink. It turned out pretty good I thought.

This one is a case from the New Idea’s book and Catalogue and again I was really happy with how it turned out. We didn’t have the new modern lable punch yet so I have stamped the happy birthday on a scrap, punched it out with the scallop Oval and trimmed it down with scissors so effective but my new punch has arrived and I’m so excited not to have to trim again!

Right best get on and tidy this house I can see the foot prints in the dust from the lounge to the bin as the kids track backwards and forwards with dirty tissues! EEEK! Have a great weekend all.

Check this out! I feel so clever I had never done a collage of photo’s on photoshop before my son bought “Prayer Bear” home from school a little while back so I thought this would be perfect opportunity to do it again rather then scrolling through dozens of photo’s in one post!

Firstly we have the goodie bags I made for everyone that contained some challenges, chocolate, nibbles, and a necklace I made for everyone! (which I didn’t take a photo of!) Must do that, as they were really cute and lots of people where wearing them! I even saw one worn at the catalogue launch last weekend so they must be ok hey?

A couple of photo’s of the girls working some in PJ’s!! Then check out the Stamp Library!! It was enormous, I don’t think there was a stamp set from the catalogue that wasn’t there and if there was it wasn’t one that anyone wanted to borrow as no one asked for a different set! The stamp sets where mine and Doug’s, but mostly Doug’s. He was generous and allowed us to use his collection, Neil (my hubby) has banned him from buying more. I think there were about 8 or 9 BIG boxes full!!

Then the view….isn’t that just gorgeous? The first one is the balcony in my room and below is the playground area and beach…just divine. If you are looking for a place to stay at Caloundra the  Shearwater is definitely worth looking at for both style, comfort and location!!

Anyway must fly have a baby present to make a card and wrap for so I can go and deliver it to a very special new arrival!

Once again it has been a busy week. I’m worked 4 days this week and had my house reno’s start! So the house truly looks like a bomb site both inside and out!

But while sitting here relaxing and feeling guilty about not having something to show you I thought I’d see if there was anything that I have edited and not published and low and behold there was a few!! Ripper!

Pretty nifty hey? Jan from my downline demonstrated this technique at a team meeting a few months back and it was so easy but looked so effective I could not, not pass it on to my lovely ladies!!

The much anticipated retired list is here finally! After having our big catalogue for such a long time I am looking forward to getting some new rubber!! But I didn’t loose as many as I thought I would (on first inspection!) There could be more when my eyes start to focus.

Stampin’ Up! have discounted some of the stamp sets that are retiring some up to 50% so get in quick I reckon they won’t hang around!I will placing an order each Sunday night for the retired items so if there is something you can’t live without let me know!!

This week Keesh has given us a sketch challenge…..using a big oval eek!!

And here is what I came up with!!

Not what I would call my usual style but I have been using this set and style more then anything else of late….as I’m sure you can tell but I promise this is the last one! It has been really fun doing the grungy look!

No card for a gift is complete without matching wrapping paper so here is a photo of the lot!!

I was going to use my scary skulls wheel on this card as well but could not find it……I searched and searched for about half an hour and could not work out where  it disappeared to! I found it a little later on (you know about 12.30) when I went to hang the washing out! I had accidentally scooped it up and put it through the washing machine! It seems to have fared OK but still has black ink stains, hmph does nothing clean them off??

It was so nice to see how excited Jess was when she saw it this morning, and even nicer when the little girl didn’t want to rip the paper and asked if she could keep it. Ooooh it makes it so worth while doesn’t it?

OK that’s me have heaps to do before bed tonight as I’m hoping to catch up with a friend for an early breakie tomorrow morning!

My bestest mate dating back to highschool and her hubby have taken out the kids to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary so hubby and I are home alone! It’s a very unusual and I feel kinda lost to be honest. Can you tell it doesn’t happen very often!! I hope they are having a lovely day.

Anywho you came here to check out my card didn’t you? Well Keesh has set us a great colour challenge this week.

Here you have it, how nice are these colours?? I had something in my mind as soon as I saw it but for some reason the image in my brain did not seem to make it to the paper!

But here is what I came up with anyway!

It seems that all the boys at this age are no longer into Thomas the tank engine or animals but instead skulls and pirates and Ben 10!! So here is what I came up with, I am really warming up to this stamp set and my darling daughter (7) reckons they are totally awesome and has put her order in for one for her party next weekend!

These are not my normal style of card but I had heaps of fun making them and I’m really happy with how they turned out. I have actually had a bit of time of late to just make some cards and have a bit of a play and it has reminded me of why I became a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in the first place!

So here is Keesha’s sketch this week…..

A nice clean and simple sketch if I do say so myself! And here is what I came up with! It’s more sparkly in real life as the flower has a bit of crystal effects painted on it and dipped in some glitter! Mmmmm pretty!!

Keesha has also done up an awesome tutorial in the same post on how to ruffle your ribbon so I thought why not I might just add that in to!! I lurve a ruffled ribbon at the moment!!

Right best get on as I have 5 kids today……(just making sure I savour my peace and quiet tomorrow), and I still have one more card to create for tonight and I need to tidy the rumpus room from all our holiday fun!

This friend of Jackson’s is quiet literally head and shoulders taller then Jackson (which really isn’t hard!) but they just love to play together and they look so cute together.

Anywho I digress! We have had the invite for a while and it was a skull one so Jackson wanted the packaging to match! Mmmm I think I may have created a monster here!!

Of course I wasn’t sure which way to go as I’m not a huge fan of scary skulls for littlies so with a bit of inspiration from here, this is what I came up with….

Sorry the photo’s aren’t to great but as usual I was meant to be there by the time I was finishing these up yesterday afternoon and I was late as per usual! But Jackson was over the moon with the results!

I’ve had the Just Jawing set for a little while but have barely used it but it would seem my kids are getting to the age that skulls are all the rage! Scary hey!

Righto best run I’m going to try my hand at being organised and getting my things prepared for Technique class tomorrow night today!

Here is Bec’s card she designed using Pun Fun. How cute are these animals!!

Next we have Lou’s card! I just love Fifth Avenue Floral it’s such a go to set for me!! Lou has used the layout from front of the catalogue doesn’t it look great!!

Next is my card! It’s a masiculan card using Wanted. I’ve done something similar years ago but it’s a nice simple card to make. The base is Natural Ivory…..yes we do sell that and no it’s not confetti cream! (Long story…..Of course my order for the event took longer then normal to get here so we were stressing about prepping the rest of the packs and the girls were not convinced we even sold Natural Ivory as it wasn’t in their stash!!  I’m sure there has been a run on this colour after our evening as it will be now lol!

And then we have Linda’s gorgeous card holder to hold all the cards we had created on the night! Awesome hey! Notice we kept to the red theme!

We are already organising our next big day! It will be for the release of the NEW catalogue and we are planning on holding it on the 4th of September so keep your eyes peeled for details!

My neighbour Sharon has just started a new business selling home made luxury soap! Now I have been lucky enough to have tested some of these beauties and they are just divine! I wouldn’t get the chocolate one again though as I wanted to eat it every time I had a shower, seriously it smelt good enough to eat lol!

She had a colour challenge going and check out these colours!! They are my colours if I do say so myself!!

I thought I would challenge myself a little more and try and use some of the stamp sets that are on special at the moment and no doubt haven’t seen ink in a very long time or never!! Here is my first card! I wasn’t overly happy with how it turned out which is why i decided to try again….I was really struggling not using the Cottage Wall DSP and cottage garden stamp set!! I lurve them both so much!!

And here is my second card. I have cased the layout (sort of) from Teneale I didn’t have a really nice saying to pop on the oval so I had to work with what I had…..bear in mind it was about half one in the morning as I was stamping this bit! If it was earlier I would have done it again and stamped it a little lower. Again I’m not completely happy with how this turned out but I was really happy to have created something!! Now to just go and enter it into Keesha’s challenge.

So which one do you like best?

I better run as I have 4 kids today and it’s so nice to hear them playing so nicely with each other but no doubt they will start to get hungry very soon.

I finally figured out how to download my big camera on to my laptop….(I’ve had the laptop and camera for quiet sometime but usually I download onto my desktop save onto a stick and transfer to the laptop) I thought it was about time I worked out how to do it directly on to the lappie. So here I am only a week and a bit after the event filling you in!!

Firstly I want to thank everyone who attended I hope you had as much fun on the night as we did! How much did we raise you ask?? Well we blew our anticipated $1000.00’s out of the water we raised $2406.04!! Isn’t that awesome.

Stampin’ Up! supplied us with heaps of goodies to raffle and auction off!

Here are our raffle prizes, we had a first and second prizes. The generous people who attended also donated some goodies for sale or auction, we had jam, cookware and gorgeous chocolate trees. Can you believe someone also made everyone who attended a cupcake and packaged them up in a cute little box as a thank you! Sorry no photo of that. Come on you have to be impressed that I even managed to get a few photos I had to borrow the one above from Linda as I didn’t get a photo of the raffle hence why she is missing from the photo!!

Here is our silent auction tables!! We raised over $735.00 alone with just the silent auction!!

Here are a few action shots of the ladies in full swing! On the night we made 3 cards and a little pouch to hold them in. We all donated the products we used for these projects to the cause. Which enabled us to maximize our fundraising efforts!!

I will try and take some photo’s of the projects we did tomorrow and post here for you to see! It’s to late and dark tonight!
