Super quick…..

July 23rd, 2012

Hey All,

Just popping in to say hi, show you a quick card and remind you that the current mini catalogue finishes at the end of this month! Don’t miss out on any of the awesome goodies as I can not guarantee they will make a reappearance in the next main catalogue!

This card uses my all time favourite stamp set and punch (well favourite at the moment;-)) I am keeping my fingers crossed it makes it into next years catalogue! This card was made for a very special person and unfortunately I didn’t get to photograph it well before I sent it so please excuse the dodgy iPhone shot!!

mixed-bunch

The first Christmas card stamp a stack it on next Monday (30th July) at 7.30pm and I still have a few spots if you’d like to join us. Make 9 cards 3 of 3 designs for $20.00. Bring your own adhesive and dimensionals, envelopes not included.

Hope to see you all again soon

Paper - Wisteria Wonder, Concord Crush, Crumb cake and whisper white
Other - Blossom punch, Bird Builder punch, 3/4 circle punch, word window punch, Modern label punch, Stripes embossing folder, 2 way glue and dazzling diamonds.

I think this is my all time favourite stamp set and punch out of the current mini catalogue which is sadly going to finish at the end of July, Oh what am I going to do? This has been my go to set for the last few months!

I thought I’d share a couple of the cards I’ve made recently with them……………

bashful-blossoms

This card was inspired by Bec my gorgeous downline and great friend, I love how simple it was to whip up this card and how effective it is…..and no cutting! I love that the punch matches the flower so well.

mixed-blossoms

I’ve showed you an other version of this one previously with links to others I have found on the internet, but here is another version. Again this is so simple to whip up! I’ve got another we made last night at technique class that I haven’t photographed yet I will endeavor to get that photographed and up in the next day or 2.

Don’t forget that the mini catalogue ends at the end of July so if there is anything in the catalogue that you can’t do with out get in quick so you don’t miss out! If you haven’t seen the mini catalogue yet, I’m not sure what to say hehehe but follow this link and you can see it online now!

Righto I’m off to curl up by the fire and read my book awhile, I’m so enjoying this school holidays!

Master 7’s party bags

July 1st, 2012

I finally got around to editing some more photo’s last week, I’ve been uploading heaps of retired sets to eBay, as well as kids books clothes and other things I have found around the house that need to go!

Anyway with all the excitement of the Grand Vacation announcement and the Reason to Smile stamp set offer I haven’t  had a chance to show you the party bags I made for DS 7th birthday party way way back at the beginning of June!

jacks1

Here they are all 22 to of the things! Of course as would always happen we planned to have it in the park so he could invite who ever he wanted, but the morning of the party was wet and miserable so the party ended up being at home:-(

Eeek 22 kids (including siblings) were coming to my house, … the hour before everyone was due to arrive I was A) madly cleaning my stamp room and outdoor area B) calling in a multitude of favours with my gorgeous friends Kaz and Damo dropping chairs over with 10 minutes to spare and C) thinking of games to keep the children entertained for 2 hours! Luckily the kids all seemed to have fun and DS was as happy as ever! He particularly liked handing out the party bags he was very proud of them.

He also helped me cover some uncovered buttons with our beautiful fabric and add elastic for the girls party treat. He’s such  helper that boy!

I was really please how they turned out! What do you think?

Right best fly I have technique class tomorrow night (Monday) and I am actually trying to prepare in advance……as you can see it’s going well:-)

Enjoy the week ahead

Other - Petite Pennant Punch, silver brads

Well actually there are lots of reason’s to smile at the moment, here’s a couple of them for you…..Firstly it’s school holidays and I just love hanging out with the kids and not having to rush to be anywhere or do anything! They have been doing a running camp in the afternoon the last few days and the weather has been just awful and they have enjoyed nothing more then a hot chocolate by the fire to warm up when they come home!

Secondly Stampin’ Up! have announced where the next incentive or Grand Vacation as it is now know is…… yup Salt Lake City seriously now if that is not an incentive to work towards I’m not sure what is and for a change I’m not waiting to the last minute to figure out how I might possibly earn it…..

mainad_grandvacation_demo_june1512_sp

So I’m plotting and scheming and begging so if you’ve ever had a workshop with me and would like an other or if you’d like to have your first please please let me know I’d love to come and show you some of the awesomeness that is Stampin’ Up!

And lastly of course I love the Reason to Smile stamp set from Stampin’ Up! and here is another card I have made using it, I am loving the new Calypso Coral and am constantly reaching for it while creating at the moment. Don’t forget this set is only available until Saturday so don’t miss out!!

smile

I must apologise my photo’s are very ordinary at the moment but unfortunately the weather is hindering my limited photo taking abilities with it being so bleak out! It’s the best I can do and I do really want to get some cards up for you all!!

Thanks for the great response for my hostess share, it would seem  a few of you have had the same issue with my website so thanks so much  for letting me know!

Hope you are all staying nice and warm in this chilly weather.

Birthday Invites….

May 15th, 2012

My baby boy is turning 7 soon and it’s party year so I sat down and made some invites for his party last night! I was kinda stuck for an idea as he isn’t having a themed party and he isn’t really into anything like Lego or Starwars. I love some of the Lego cards floating around the internet they are truly awesome! But alas that was not what he wanted. After a few false starts I am pretty happy with how they turned out in the end!!

Here is my first prototype so to speak….

braith-original

Just as I finished this one, DH asked how long it took to put together so I made a minor adjustment and omitted the red layer, instead going with some edging to speed up production!

jacks

So this is what I ended up with. I must apologise the photo’s are not that great but it was 11.30pm and I used my phone as that was what was handy at the time lol! Now just to plan party games, food and cake! If you’ve got an great party games I can play at a park please let me know I’d love some new ideas.

I’m still having some issues with my blog and disappearing widgets so bear with me as I try and rectify the problem unfortunately I am not a computer whiz so it’s taken me longer then I would have thought!

Best get going as I have to prep for my Stamp a Stack tomorrow night, I still have a few spots left so if you’d like to come and join the fun let me know;-)

Have a great day

Mini Launch…..

April 30th, 2012

It’s late so this is going to be short and sweet but I thought I’d pop in and show you my cards I designed for the mini catalogue launch that we had on the 22nd of April! It was a fabulous day as usual, great company, great food and of course lots and lots of stamping!!

Here is the first one using the Rue Des Fleurs  along with the French Foliage stamp sets!! I LOVE both these sets and have used them both heaps recently!!

pink-umbrella

Next is my baby card, there were 3 colour choices with this one, I’ve only photographed the Island Indigo one sorry…..

indigo-baby

I loved this set in the catalogue and couldn’t wait to get my hands on it, but alas it wasn’t as easy to use as I thought it would be and I admit I struggled somewhat! Luckily everyone seemed to like it on the day. I must have another play with it and see what else I can come up with. I’ve bought a frame from Ikea that I dearly want to put some baby photo’s in and use this set…..Oh to find the time lol!

rose-red-romance-1

Last and by no means least here is my third card! I have used the lovely Lou’s Bordering on Romance stamp set yet again (think I’m going to have to buy it as I really do love it;-) ) I’ve also used the edgelits I think they are kinda cool!

So there you have it my 3 cards! Jump on over to Lou and Bec’s sites as I know they have done a run down of the day as well, but if you are patient I will eventually get the cards they did up here in the next few days!

So what do you think? Which one is your favourite?

Chow for now

Team meeting….

April 25th, 2012

We had our first team meeting of the year last night….slack I know but we managed it and it was great to catch up with everyone;-) Other then lots of chatting and a little eating we also do a make and take! We take it in turns but last night it was my turn and I thought it would be ideal to make a card using the new edgelits and matching embossing folder. My inspiration was the card on the front of the new mini catalogue! I did have a link in the side bar but for some reason my widgets keep disappearing grrr!!

Anywho here is my card that we all made last night!

baja-romance

The edgelits and matching embossing folders are very cool, I haven’t bought them myself yet I have been playing with my downline Louise’s but I think they are on my next order as I really love them!! They are a little tricky to use and I came across a couple of good tutorials which I will attach below!! Give em a try they are very very cool;-)

So if you give it a try link to it in the comments so we can all have a look! Can’t wait to see what you have been making with them.
