So much news!

This is a very exciting time of year at Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration is over and the retired list has been released and then…..wait for it….the new catalogue comes out very very soon!

My facebook feed is full of chatter from other demonstrators on all things retired and the new catalogue which is just divine! (Yes I’ve been lucky enough to see it today….a perk of being a demonstrator)

I’m being serious here I popped up on my facebook page this morning not to delay in placing orders for retired items as all items on the retired list are while stocks last and this is no joke, things are already being sold out! (yes I am serious)

So jump online, check out the retired list and ensure you order everything you want now to avoid disappointment!

Click the image above to check out the retired list!

Or click the image below to place an order online…..remember to use this months hostess code to be rewarded by me!

An oldie but a goodie!!

I remember doing this technique years ago, but it is such a fun technique I thought I’d share the Stampin’ Up! video that I just stumbled across!

Have you tried Marbling before? I really want to pull it out and have a go again! I think it might make a reappearance in the next technique class!!

Hope you are all having a fabulous weekend. We are down the coast with Jess who is competing in the Luke Harrop Triathlon tomorrow. We were super lucky as we got to watch the Elite’s from around the world compete! It was amazing to watch, such a face paced sport full of truly inspiring athletes!

Thanks for dropping by, don’t forget to RSVP if you would like to attend technique class next month and play with some shaving cream with me!

Technique class and March Thank you’s

We had technique class last night and made 3 awesome cards, I loved how this card turned out so have decided that I’m going to use them as last months thank you cards for customers!

So if you placed an order with me last month this is what is making it’s way to you!

I love making my own background papers with stamps it’s so easy with all the different stamps in a set! For this card I used the leaves out of Botanical Blooms stamp set in a few different colours! It was super easy, I then stamped the little circles and popped some crystal effects over the top to give it some shine!

Do you make your own background papers?  Whats your favourite stamp set for it?

Change of date for the next stamp a stack class! We are going to hold it next Monday which is the 10th of April, rather then Easter Monday!

Reverse words case!

Evening all, I’m hoping everyone reading this is safe and dry after the events of the last few days and cyclone Debbie ripping through North Queensland. My thoughts are will all of you up there as the mammoth task of the clean up begins!

On a brighter note I finally managed to crack out the Reverse words stamp set, but wasn’t sure where to start so I did my normal thing a jumped on pinterest to see what others had created!

I came across a card by Teneale Williams that I fell in love with and decided I was going to case. I have always loved Teneale’s creations and will often stop by her blog to see what she has created!

I didn’t stop at one I made 2 variations, the changes are ever so slight to Teneale’s original!

and then I switched the colours up a little for something a bit different!

My photo’s are a bit dark as the sun hasn’t been out a huge amount of late as it’s a bit rainy and overcast! But I think they came out pretty well! Thanks Teneale for once again inspiring me with your beautiful craftsmanship!

Only 3 more days to go until Sale-a-bration is over for another year, wooh that time has flown!! Don’t miss out on placing your qualifying order and getting your free sale-a-bration stamp set, email me today!

Team meeting make and take!

Last Thursday night I was lucky enough to get together with my team, these types of get togethers are super fun. We get together, chat, sometimes about business tips lol and stamp! If you have ever considered being a demonstrator and would like some more information about joining our team shoot me an e-mail, I’d love to chat to you about it!

This is the card I created to share with my team, I am so in love with this stamp set. I wish it was a possibility for it to make it into the main catalogue! {Don’t get excited that has never happened before!}

Have you picked this set as one of your freebies this sale-a-bration? You really won’t be disappointed it if you did! I’ve also used the Petal Burst embossing folder that has been newly added to the sale-a-bration list it’s super cute as well! I’m going to enjoy using it more often, of course I only just purchased this last week without knowing it was going on to the sale-a-bration freebies list! But glad I did so I can make some samples to show you just how cute it is!

If you haven’t got all your sale-a-bration goodies yet don’t forget to pop over to my online shop and place your order……don’t forget to use this months hostess code if your order is under $250!

Hope to hear from you!

Amazing Birthday oooops it’s retired!

On Monday night we had another stamp a stack and just before everyone was due to arrive I decided we need a masculine card in the line up! Having limited supplies, I’m almost out of basic black and smoky slate cardstock I set about creating a card!

This is what I came up with, it’s a pretty simple card but I was happy with it non the less.

This morning when the sun was out briefly I whipped out to photograph some of my recent cards to share with you. That’s when my issue started I was doing up my product below…..entered in Amazing Birthday and it came up as retired, {No surely not} grabbed my catalogue to look it up, sure enough it’s not in there! Can you believe it, we are almost at the end of the current catalogue and I have just worked out this set is no longer current! Ooops! So this will be the final card I create with the great little stamp set, it will now be popped in my stash of retired sets to be sold off at our next launch day!

I always get a bit sad saying goodbye to stamp sets, sometimes I wish I could keep them all lol! What about you? Do you keep all your stamp sets or do you sell them off?

Monday Night’s stamp a stack!

We had heaps of fun on Monday night at our monthly stamp a stack! There were 6 different designs to choose from, as usual some were more popular then others!

This is one of my favourites as I am currently loving the Make a Medallion stamp set! The photo isn’t my usual brilliance (lol) It’s been raining and overcast since Sunday and it’s making if very difficult for me to photograph my cards…which is why the blog posts are few and far between sorry! This card was inspired by Sarah Berry‘s card I just loved the colour combination, although I didn’t read it very well and used Daffodil delight instead of Crushed Curry but it still came up really pretty in real life! I love this stamp set so much, it’s so fun to play with and pretty easy to line up without the need for a stamp a ma jig too!

Have you ordered your Make a Medallion stamp set yet? It’s free with a $90 order only until the end of this month that’s only 10 days to go!!

We are having a final farewell of Sale-a-bration stamp sets on Friday evening at 7.30pm, 6 cards (2 of 3 designs) for $20.00 there is the option for you to make addition sets of cards if you would like as well! After all it is Friday night and if you’d like to craft a bit later you are welcome to stay on!  For more info or to book follow this link.

Would love to see you Friday night, feel free to bring a crafty friend along too!

Playing along with #GDP078

I think I may currently be a little obsessed with the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set, I simply keep picking it up to create with! I think this may be a recurring theme though, looking back on past posts talking about  favourite stamp sets lol!

Anyway this morning before getting ready for work I popped down to my craftroom to make a card for my blog and it was still on my desk from creating my customer thank you cards, so when I saw the sketch offered by the Global Design Project this week I knew immediately I wanted to use my dragonflies oh and some glitter paper…..I just love that too:)

This is the sketch we were given this weekSo cute hey? Because I wanted to use a piece of my chevron paper from +________ I had to flip the sketch as I’ve used most of it up and these are the only tiny pieces I have left! I think I need to order another pack!!

This is what I came up with, I cut out the sale-a-bration sweet sugarplum glimmer paper with the solid dragonfly and then cut some black cardstock with the detailed thinlit and then layered them  together! How pretty does it look? I embossed the circle with the Hexagon dynamics textured embossing folder, it looks so good IRL!

I wasn’t 100% happy with the word placement but it’s grown on me!! What do you think?

More Sale-a-bration goodness! Glimmer paper sigh!

Today has been a crazy day, with work and kids and the gym! I’m not sure if you all know but I do crossfit and usually I love it! I am currently taking part in the crossfit open at my box and tonight was a real struggle. It involved a movement I am not very good at, at a weight I couldn’t do so in the 8 minutes I only recorded 7 reps:(…….I feel a little defeated this evening to be honest! But in true crossfit style my box mates cheered me on and encouraged me to get that 7th rep…..for 7 minutes and 30 seconds lol!I knew there was a reason I loved this sport!

Anyway enough about my crappy afternoon and on to much more exciting things I had to share this video about the fabulous Glimmer paper assortment pack that you can earn by placing a qualifying order during sale-a-bration!

It is so divine but super tricky to photograph well!

Tomorrow I plan to make up some cards with it and the Make a Medallion stamp set! Hope I’ll have an assortment of goodies to show you!

Have your placed a qualifying order and chosen this as your gift?

Techniques galore here this week!

I thought I best show you the other card we did at Technique class on Monday night! This one was super easy to create and had 2 techniques on it! Although calling them techniques is possibly a bit of a push one is probably more of a style of card then a technique and the other a bit of a tip or trick that I thought was great to share!!

If you hadn’t noticed I am loving the Detailed Dragonfly thinlits, I can’t actually believe I put of buying them for so long! This card was so tricky to photograph, I think I took about 20 shots and I’m still not happy with this one. But I had to let it go otherwise I would never have gotten it up here to share with you!

How cool do those dragonflies look flying across the page! To adhere them to the card so that I didn’t have unsightly glue all over the back I used a little tombow on a sponge and just sponged it over the backs and check out how nice they look from the other side!

Well take my word for it there is no glue showing…..that’s hard to capture that on a photo lol!

Do you follow me on Facebook? Pop on over and follow me, I’d love to see you there! If you just click on the Facebook icon in my tool bar it will take you directly to my page! I’d love to hit 200 followers!!

Hope to see you at my next class on the 20th March it’s a stamp a stack so you get to make 9 cards 3 of 3 different designs, but please  don’t forget to book in so I know how many to prep for!

Make a Medallion….. I just can’t help myself!

As soon as I saw the Make a Medallion stamp set in the new Sale-a-bration I knew I wanted it and knew I’d love it!!

Have you seen it yet? It is awesome seriously, check out this video here to see what I am raving about!

What do you think? Would you use it? I have teamed it with some of the glitter paper that is also in the new Sale-a-Bration catalogue! It is so sparkly and pretty! If you haven’t seen the new 3 items in the catalogue click here to see it!

Here is the card I came up with it……

I do really like it and it was so super easy to use, I think wood mount would be trick but lining it up with the photopolymer  was a breeze! I used 3 of the stamps to create this medallion and I didn’t even mess it up once…small miracle for me lol! Here’s a closer look of just the medallion

And how about that glimmer paper….sorry I’m pretty chuffed with the new offerings from Sale-a-Bration if you can’t tell lol!

Don’t miss out, place a qualifying order today so you can get your awesome Make a Medallion stamp set or glimmer paper or both hehehe!!

But don’t forget to use this months hostess code unless your order is over $250.00!Thanks for stopping by

What you missed at technique class last night!
