First Ever Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

I’m Steph a demonstrator from Australia and welcome to the  first ever Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. I have been a demonstrator for 11 years and I am stepping outside my comfort zone and am involved in my first ever design team blog hop! Terrifying! I hope you enjoy hoping around and seeing the work of some super talented Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world!

Our theme this month is carrying over product. So everything you see in this hop  is products that are carrying over into the new catalogue plus maybe some sneaky peak new items!  You may have noticed some items that once upon a time came in a bundle may be on the retired list, that is because they will not be coming in a bundle at a discount in the new catalogue! There in itself is a reason to take notice and jump on board and order any bundles you simply can’t do without!!

My card today shows the awesome Blooms and Wishes stamp set, that I just adore! I’m so pleased it is carrying over it’s my go to set when I’m stuck for a quick & easy card and today to make it  just  a little more interesting I have used some new incolours. Which I’m not sure if I mentioned I just LOVE!!!

It’s such an easy stamp set to use, I randomly stamped the images in some coordinating colours (using the new Berry Burst as my main colour) layered the whisper white on to some Sahahra Sand and then popping up on dimensionals to adhere to the card base! Of course no card is compete without a little bling!!

I hope the projects you’ve seen here on my blog today have inspired you & brightened your day.

Please see the list below & hop through all of the people on the list to see all our projects. You don’t want to miss any!

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog!!

SNEAK PEAK – Daisy Delight

What a weekend of crafting I have had! I have been so lucky in that I was able to spend most of my weekend downstairs on my craftroom preparing samples, and cards from the new catalogue! I’m very much in love with the new incolours and can’t wait for you to get to have a play and see what you think!

I’m going to start an incolour club to help you get a little of everything over a period of time…..{cause you really need these ones honest} So stay tuned for more details!

The card I am sharing today is using the Daisy Delight  stamp set and I can see it’s going to be so very versatile! I’ve paired it with the new goodies – Berry Burst card stock and ink and used one of the new clear faceted Gems! The card itself was pretty easy to whip up I’ve done a little background stamping using the Timeless Textures {I’m trying to ween myself off Gorgeous Grunge…Gasp} I’ve then layered 2 daisies on top of each other using some snail to adhere them together! I’ve popped a little silver thread behind them….I’m using this thread a lot lately, added the leaves and then popped the whole flower up on dimensionals.

I finished by stamping Happy Birthday in black and adding some little rhinestones! How simple is that?

These are the sorts of cards we create at my stamp a stacks, which are run monthly on the 3rd Monday evening of the month. If you’d like to come join us and make some gorgeous cards just like this one send me an email or give me a call! If you can’t make my scheduled class but have a group of friends who’d like to make cards to I can always come to you at a time that suits!

Sneak Peak – Daisy Delight Designer Series Paper!!

I have been playing with some of my new goodies and thought I’d share some of my favourites, I cased this card from one Kylie Bertucci did a while ago! Kylie has this awesome hashtag #loveitchopit so I’m going with that this year after pulling out far to many barely used packs of designer series paper! And kicking off my #loveitchop it cards is one using the new Delightful Daisy Designer series paper!

This card was super easy to put together, I used 1 piece of DSP (9cm x 9.4cm) layered on a piece of whisper white card stock. I then picked some colours from the DSP, to complete the card. I also silver embossed my sentiment and added some silver ribbon across the join! How super easy and imagine how many cards you could get out of a pack of designer series paper if you actually use it up!

These are the colours I have used! I wouldn’t have put these colours together normally but they do really work together, well I think so anyway!

If you would like to see more of the new catalogue book in to our new catalogue launch on the 3 June 2017! We’d love to see you!

Bittersweet new catalogue release!

With only 15 days left of the current catalogue I’m getting a little sad, as I am creating I am checking the new catalogue before I use a stamp set so I can mark whether it is in the new catalogue or not! I grabbed my all time favourite Gorgeous Grunge stamp set for this card only to discover it had not made it in, I almost cried!! {sob it’s going,  I may have shed a tear} If you have been coming to my classes or checking out my blog for any length of time you will know this is a staple in my crafting world!

And then the next set I reached for, Endless Birthday Wishes, was also absent from the catalogue! Things were looking grim until I checked to see that my dragonfly thinlits were still there and luckily {phew} they have carried over to the new main catalogue!

So here is the card that caused me all the grief, there are some other great new stamp sets in the catalogue which I am sure will ease the pain when I can get my hands on them. For now though I will just mourn the loss of some favourites quietly lol!!

This is a card we did at last week’s technique class, to do the cut out dragonflies I simply coloured some Shimmer White cardstock with the watercolour pencils and blended slightly and then cut them out! Pretty cool effect hey?

This card was pretty easy to put together except that I had to pop up my dragonflies so had to cut up small bits of dimensionals for the job! In the new catalogue there are mini dimesionals how cool will they be lol!!

Foiled by the weather!

So, last week I mentioned I was going to post Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday! So far that is not going so well for me! I have made 9 cards in the last few days. Some to share and some for launch on the 3rd of June. But due to weather…which is outside my control my photo’s have been so ordinary I haven’t been able to post! Usually I get up early and go and take photo’s first up but the last few days have been grey, overcast and rainy which is not ideal for outside photography.

So this morning when I woke I was happy to see it was not raining but it was super foggy so my photo’s where very dark and gloomy but then the sun broke through just before I was due to leave so I went to work and set up and took some photo’s yay!! Alas in the indirect light it was still to dull but in the sun it was so bright no amount of editing was bring the lovely colours back!

So I’m typing this up in the hope that tomorrow morning I can whip out take some fabulous photo’s, edit them and just insert them in my post and this will go live and you’ll just think I’m slack lol!

So here goes one of the bundles I have been playing around with lots is the Eastern Palace bundle, I really love it and it is really so versatile! This card is actually a case out of the new catalogue but I just loved these colours together! A perfect mix of old and new!!

This card was more fiddly then I expected but it turned out so pretty don’t you think?

I have a special little offer for you! Purchase the Eastern Palace suite either starter or premier from me this month and received a free 5 card class from me for free! Yup you heard me, purchase either bundle and you are welcome to come along and attend an in person class where we will make 5 cards using the Eastern Palace bundle stamp set! Can’t make it to class, that’s OK to I will send you the class, tutorials and cardstock to make the 5 cards to your door. You just need to use your own stamps, ink and embellishments if required!

Jump on over into my online store and place your order today! Don’t forget to use this months hostess code to get your rewards from me!

Don’t forget to RSVP to launch on the 3rd of June, space is filling up and there is limited spots

Hope to see you all again soon!

Gold Glitter Dragonfly, what’s not to love?

I am so happy that the Dragonfly dreams stamp set is carrying over into the new catalogue, but you won’t be able to buy it as a bundle anymore {insert sad face}. So if it was on your wish list don’t delay in purchasing it as you won’t get the 10% bundle saving when the new catalogue comes out!

On Monday we used the Dragonfly thinlits to create this little gold glitter beauty!

It positively sparkles in real life! It was pretty easy to achieve this look.

Firstly we cut out the dragonfly using the precision plate and then put some sticky tape on the back of it and then cut out the dragonfly with the solid matching thinlit. If you don’t have a matching outline thinlit you can always just cut around it with scissors. Then we filled the gaps with glitter and teeedah you have the gorgeous sparkly dragonfly!!

Pretty speesh hey? You could also use multicoloured glitters to make it even more interesting….I must get that out and have a go I think!

The inside and…….Oh my the new catalogue has landed!

Soooo I said I’d pop back in and share the inside of the card we did last night at technique class! It was super easy to do yet so super effective!

I stamped 3 butterflies and cut them out on the big shot, folded them in half and then using a glue dot joined just the tips of their wings! We adhered the 2 end butterflies with some tombow glue!

I will share the other projects we did over the next few days!

In other exciting news, my boxes of new catalogues have just arrived! Yup that’s right they hit my doorstep today! Yay!

I love this time of year, it inspires me to have a bit of a clean out and then I get to buy heaps of new stuff to play with! Seriously can life get any better??

If you have booked and paid your deposit for launch you are more then welcome to come and grab your catalogue early if you would like!

If you would like to get your hands on your very own copy let me know and I’ll arrange to get one sent out to you later in the month! There is sooooo much good stuff in here I am in heaps of trouble lol!

April Thank You’s and a little news!

Can you believe May is here already? Time is flying by so quickly, there is only another 4 weeks of the current catalogue and then we get a brand spanking new one! I am so excited for our launch day on the 3rd of June, I love these days as we get to play with new product, catch up with customer/friends that I don’t see often and have the most amazing food to boot!

Are you booked in yet? Seats are filling fast so if you’d like to join us send me an e-mail and I’ll get your name down on the list to join the fun!

After much deliberation and thought I’ve decided to try and blog 4 times a week, I have been trying (and failing) to blog daily, but working fulltime and running my 2 darling children around plus getting myself to the gym has seen me fail on all fronts. So in an attempt to stay sane and not beat myself up to much I have decided I will blog Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday unless something really exciting comes up on the other days, then you might get something extra! So pop back or  keep an eye on your inboxes on those days for some inspiration from me!

Moving onto todays blog post……I’ve once again been playing with the Eastern Beauty stamp set that comes in the Eastern Palace suite, and it is just gorgeous as is the new lemon lime twist incolour,  I am soooo in love! When I went to choose the sentiment for this card I decided to share the love with all those wonderful customers who placed and order in April and turned this card into my April Thank You’s!

This photo really doesn’t do the colour justice, the lemon lime twist is an awesome colour and I can see myself using it all the time!! Keep an eye on your letter boxes if you have placed an order in April as this card is coming your way!

If you haven’t already don’t forget to sign up to receive my blog via email, it’ll save you having to pop back and checking each time to see if I have posted anything new!

Another Eastern Palace suite card!

Here’s another card I whipped up while playing the other day! This time I’ve used a little of 2 sheets of the DSP and some of the new in colour Fresh Fig! It’s a really pretty colour, on first look I thought it was really similar to Rich Razzleberry but as usual I was mistaken!

Stampin’ Up! Colour Comparison

It’s kind of a lighter purple these swatches really don’t do it justice just quietly!

Here it is used on my card! What do you think? A colour you would like to use?

In the DSP we have another of the new incolours this one is called Lemon Lime twist and I think I’m going to love this colour as well! It is completely different to anything we currently have and is a true lime in my opinion!

Stampin’ Up! Colour comparison

These colours come with both bundles so let me know if you would like me to order your set on the 1st of May!

Things are already selling out from the retired list so don’t delay place your order as soon as possible so you don’t miss out! Don’t know what’s retiring check it all out here! Remember some sets are up to 50% off which is a pretty awesome discount!

An oldie but a goodie!!

I remember doing this technique years ago, but it is such a fun technique I thought I’d share the Stampin’ Up! video that I just stumbled across!

Have you tried Marbling before? I really want to pull it out and have a go again! I think it might make a reappearance in the next technique class!!

Hope you are all having a fabulous weekend. We are down the coast with Jess who is competing in the Luke Harrop Triathlon tomorrow. We were super lucky as we got to watch the Elite’s from around the world compete! It was amazing to watch, such a face paced sport full of truly inspiring athletes!

Thanks for dropping by, don’t forget to RSVP if you would like to attend technique class next month and play with some shaving cream with me!

Technique class and March Thank you’s

We had technique class last night and made 3 awesome cards, I loved how this card turned out so have decided that I’m going to use them as last months thank you cards for customers!

So if you placed an order with me last month this is what is making it’s way to you!

I love making my own background papers with stamps it’s so easy with all the different stamps in a set! For this card I used the leaves out of Botanical Blooms stamp set in a few different colours! It was super easy, I then stamped the little circles and popped some crystal effects over the top to give it some shine!

Do you make your own background papers?  Whats your favourite stamp set for it?

Change of date for the next stamp a stack class! We are going to hold it next Monday which is the 10th of April, rather then Easter Monday!
