So I have been trying to get all my ducks in a row after being sick and unfortunately I have been very unsuccessful in achieving my goal! Between work, kids, Stampin’ Up! and getting to the gym I have been pretty unsuccessful at all of them! I am currently on school holidays so have done up a massive calendar for all the kids dates, races and other important details so that’s one thing sorted.

I am getting my eating back on track so hopefully I won’t feel so sluggish in the near future so the other things start to fall into line! I’m hoping my mojo returns soon!

Lately I hyst haven’t had the interest to get down in my stamp room, I’d rather lie on the couch and watch TV instead of creating, and that’s not like me! So help a girl out where do you do for inspiration! Link below in the comments so I can go check it out!!

Speak soon (hopefully)

Another from technique class on Monday

Sometimes a technique doesn’t have to be difficult to be effective. This particular technique will work with any 2 step stamp set! Depending on the look you are going for you can either stamp in versamark for a soft, subtle look or in the colour matching your cardstock for a more vibrant, obvious look!

I’ve used versamark on my sample and I love the way it worked out!

Peekaboo peach monocromatic background technique

It was so simple to create this card, I simply used a big clear block and placed all my images on it in a cluster. inked it up and stamped 2 or 3 times to cover the entire front panel. I then grabbed the 2nd step stamps and inked up in whisper white and stamped. I had a few open spots and wasn’t sure what to fill them with so I improvised and stamped with the lid of one of my markers and the lid of my reinker bottle….anything can be a stamp!

The rest is super simple, I just white embossed my sentiment on velum attached it to the card and added some rhinestones cause you’ve got to have some bling, right?

What have you stamped with that’s not a stamp?

Whisper White Craft Stampin' Pad

Whisper White Craft Stampin’ Pad

A card of many techniques!

We had technique class on Monday night, I pulled out the embossing paste once again! Gosh I love that stuff! For something a little different I made a mask using the die out of Oh So Eclectic and some thick acetate! It worked an absolute treat!

Oh so Eclectic technique card! see more at

We also did a little splattering on the card front, I am still missing my gorgeous grunge stamp set terribly but this technique worked really well to get some fine splatter on my cardstock, I actually used my markers to do it and the marker came out unscathed! Pretty effective hey? Then to finish it off I inked up the leaves with Lemon Lime twist and then inked around the edges with a sponge dauber and Tranquil tide ink.

It all came together so easily and i just love the how it turned out!

Bec’s Projects from launch day!

As you know our  launch days are usually run by Bec, Lou and myself. This time Lou couldn’t be apart of it as her daughter was away representing Queensland in a fencing competition. So Bec and I ran this one together this time! We did 4 projects each. My 4 were cards and if you missed that blog post you can find it here. Bec did 3 cards and a 3D item which was so cute!

Here are Bec’s 4 projects from launch day. For her 3D project she used the little test tubes from the holiday catalogue, they are so cute and are food safe so you could fill them with some M&M’s or other small treats!

Aren’t they just so super cute? I love them all!

What you missed…..

I as I mentioned yesterday our launch day was a big success! We had a few less ladies then normal as there were quiet a few grandfinals on and the dreaded flu kept some away as well! But we still had a great time and as per usual the food was divine. Yes I know some of you only turn up for the food lol!

Holiday Catalogue Launch day 2017

As you can see there was heaps to do and lots of samples to look at! We also had a table of cards to make up for a very special friend who is battling leukaemia, I’ve had a few ladies ask if they can also add a card to our board so I am holding it open a little longer. If you are coming along to class on Monday night the cards will be set up there ready to make or if you’d prefer you can make your own and send it to me and I will make sure Piper gets them!

Ink and Inspiration blog hop #4 – Photo Inspiration

Ink & Inspiration Blog hop - Masculine Cards

Welcome to the fourth Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. You are currently visiting me Stephanie Pike from Australia. This month’s theme is using a photo for inspiration!

#IIBH Inspirational photo

I personally don’t use this product so hadn’t seen the tube before but how pretty is it? Almost makes me want to go and give it a try lol! I loosely used the layout and the colours as my inspiration and this is what I came up with.

I had lots of fun making this card, and excitingly the inspirational photo enabled me to use my favourite colours, Lemon lime twist, Pool Party and Bermuda Bay it was win win!! It certainly made my creating easier!!

The card it’s self was pretty easy to create, I was hoping to get a video done showing how I created the card but it’s been raining all afternoon and without natural light the video was dark and dreary, so check back on Saturday and I’ll get one up for you!!

I hope the projects you’ve seen here on my blog and through the blog hop today have inspired you & brightened your day.  Check out the list below & hop on through all of the awesome crafters on the list to see all our projects. Trust me you don’t want to miss any!

Don’t forget to RSVP for our new catalogue launch on the 2nd of September it promises to be lots of fun! If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me!

A case of the catalogue…..a great place for inspiration!

I’ve always said our catalogues are far more then a way to shop for our awesome products, they are also a place to find inspiration when the mojo has taken a little holiday!

I often visit the catalogue when I’m starting to craft, {especially when I don’t want to get side tracked by the internet lol} pinterest is a time suck if there ever was one!

Anyway moving on, I was flicking through the catalogue and this image on page 25 of the main catalogue caught my eye and I thought I love that I’m going to make it!

It was super easy but turned out so pretty! I stepped it up slightly as in my opinion was missing something….a little bling perhaps??

I’ve used this set a few times and this particular flower is fast becoming my favourite and I just love the font on the sentiments!

This was another card that was on the table Monday nights stamp a stack! Would you have chosen to make this card?

Another technique Birthday Card

I do love my Monday night technique classes, not only do I get to catch up with my lovely ladies (we chat as much as we stamp) but it also makes me have to learn new techniques to teach! I’ve been loving the embossing paste so last Monday’s class focused on different ways to use the embossing paste.

We took a bit of a vote at the end of class and this card was one of the most popular of the night!

It’s called Graffiti background and was so fun to create but a little messy…..there was a rubber glove involved lol!

Graffiti Happy Birthday card using Stampin' Up! products. Visit for more details

Seriously how cool does that background look??

I’ve been in my craft room most of today prepping for stamp a stack on Monday night (tonight) and our new catalogue launch party on the 2nd of September.

If you’d like to book into either tonight’s stamp a stack or our catalogue launch there is still time!

Click here to RSVP I’d love to see you all there!

So in love with the new Stampin’ Up! embossing paste!

I’ve finally managed to have a really good play with the new Stampin’ Up! embossing paste, we had technique class on Monday evening and all 3 projects used the embossing paste in 3 completely different ways!

This was one of my favourite cards and was super fun and easy to create!

Stampin' Up! embossed embossing paste

Although the embossing paste is a little bit messy it’s so much fun to play with. My tip is to spread it on as evenly as possible and to let it air dry for a little while once you have applied the embossing powder! Oh and use your embossing buddy!!

This card was inspired by one I saw on pinterest, I was silly and didn’t pin it at the time and now I’ve gone back to try and find it and I can’t!

Don’t forget to book into our catalogue launch on the 2 of September, it would be great to know numbers for preparation purposes!
