Ink and Inspiration blog hop #4 – Photo Inspiration

Ink & Inspiration Blog hop - Masculine Cards

Welcome to the fourth Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. You are currently visiting me Stephanie Pike from Australia. This month’s theme is using a photo for inspiration!

#IIBH Inspirational photo

I personally don’t use this product so hadn’t seen the tube before but how pretty is it? Almost makes me want to go and give it a try lol! I loosely used the layout and the colours as my inspiration and this is what I came up with.

I had lots of fun making this card, and excitingly the inspirational photo enabled me to use my favourite colours, Lemon lime twist, Pool Party and Bermuda Bay it was win win!! It certainly made my creating easier!!

The card it’s self was pretty easy to create, I was hoping to get a video done showing how I created the card but it’s been raining all afternoon and without natural light the video was dark and dreary, so check back on Saturday and I’ll get one up for you!!

I hope the projects you’ve seen here on my blog and through the blog hop today have inspired you & brightened your day.  Check out the list below & hop on through all of the awesome crafters on the list to see all our projects. Trust me you don’t want to miss any!

Don’t forget to RSVP for our new catalogue launch on the 2nd of September it promises to be lots of fun! If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me!

Thanks for stopping by!

A case of the catalogue…..a great place for inspiration!

I’ve always said our catalogues are far more then a way to shop for our awesome products, they are also a place to find inspiration when the mojo has taken a little holiday!

I often visit the catalogue when I’m starting to craft, {especially when I don’t want to get side tracked by the internet lol} pinterest is a time suck if there ever was one!

Anyway moving on, I was flicking through the catalogue and this image on page 25 of the main catalogue caught my eye and I thought I love that I’m going to make it!

It was super easy but turned out so pretty! I stepped it up slightly as in my opinion was missing something….a little bling perhaps??

I’ve used this set a few times and this particular flower is fast becoming my favourite and I just love the font on the sentiments!

This was another card that was on the table Monday nights stamp a stack! Would you have chosen to make this card?

Thanks for stopping by!

Another technique Birthday Card

I do love my Monday night technique classes, not only do I get to catch up with my lovely ladies (we chat as much as we stamp) but it also makes me have to learn new techniques to teach! I’ve been loving the embossing paste so last Monday’s class focused on different ways to use the embossing paste.

We took a bit of a vote at the end of class and this card was one of the most popular of the night!

It’s called Graffiti background and was so fun to create but a little messy…..there was a rubber glove involved lol!

Graffiti Happy Birthday card using Stampin' Up! products. Visit www.stampingwithsteph.com.au for more details

Seriously how cool does that background look??

I’ve been in my craft room most of today prepping for stamp a stack on Monday night (tonight) and our new catalogue launch party on the 2nd of September.

If you’d like to book into either tonight’s stamp a stack or our catalogue launch there is still time!

Click here to RSVP I’d love to see you all there!

So in love with the new Stampin’ Up! embossing paste!

I’ve finally managed to have a really good play with the new Stampin’ Up! embossing paste, we had technique class on Monday evening and all 3 projects used the embossing paste in 3 completely different ways!

This was one of my favourite cards and was super fun and easy to create!

Stampin' Up! embossed embossing paste

Although the embossing paste is a little bit messy it’s so much fun to play with. My tip is to spread it on as evenly as possible and to let it air dry for a little while once you have applied the embossing powder! Oh and use your embossing buddy!!

This card was inspired by one I saw on pinterest, I was silly and didn’t pin it at the time and now I’ve gone back to try and find it and I can’t!

Don’t forget to book into our catalogue launch on the 2 of September, it would be great to know numbers for preparation purposes!

Thanks for stopping by!

Loving the Daisy Delight bundle!!

A short and sweet post tonight, to share a quick and simple card I made using the Daisy delight bundle.  I’ve been sick with the flu for what seems like forever, but in truth it’s been about 2 weeks so I really haven’t created much in that time so this is a card from our most recent stamp a stack.  The card itself is super easy to make and I think looks so pretty!

I’ve used the Powder Pink and Basic Grey cardstock, they really are my colours!

I’m so excited that the Daisy delight bundle is back in stock and ready to order!!

Another stamp a stack card!

Here’s a stamp set that hasn’t seen ink for a little while, I seem to gravitate my newer stamp sets when I’m prepping for class. It’s almost like taking the easy way out so this time I thought I’d pull out an old favourite, I really did once upon a time love Paisley and Posies but it was pushed aside when new goodies arrived!

Paisley & Posies birthday card. Using crumb cake, pumpkin pie and daffodil delight. For more information visit www.stampingwithsteph.com.au

I randomly stamped my images across the whisper white cardstock, I’ve used pumpkin pie, daffodil delight and crumb cake (which really isn’t my normal cololurs) but I’m happy with how they go together! I’ve edged the whisper white in crumb cake and mounted it on a piece of pumpkin pie. The cardbase I’ve used is crumb cake!

The Happy birthday sentiment is from Happy Birthday Gorgeous, cut out with an oval stitched shaped framelit and backed with a scalloped oval. With a little piece of crumb cake ribbon for decoration!

Don’t forget if you are placing an order this month to use my hostess code to earn rewards from me!!
