It was technique class last night and we made so pretty cool cards, well I think so anyway!
The first was one of my favourites, I love the leaves in the Colourful Season’s stamp set and although we here in Brisbane don’t get your atypical turn of leaves I still love the colours that I see in pictures! Here we used a few different techniques. Firstly sponge daubers to add our multiple colours ensuring to blend them as we were going, once they were stamped and cut we added some clear wink of stella and some drops of the fine tip glue pen so it looks like dew!
Then onto the main panel of the card, it’s the first time I’ve tried this and I think I’ll do it again. Using word stamps as a background. I literally stamped the Hip Hip Hooray stamp in stamped off smoky slate multiple times along the edge to create a soft background. I then stamped the sentiment on basic black and white embossed! Then punched it out!

It’s a pretty simple card but was super fun to make, I think it would look pretty cool using the same technique with balloons! I may have to go and have a play next chance I get!
Don’t forget the buy 3 get the 4th free designer series paper deal is still on for the rest of the month, I love DSP but tend to hoard it…..my goal is to get in and use some of it up in the next lot of upcoming stamp a stack classes!
